HELLO SG!:D i'm currently in batam but will be back in SG really sooooon hehehehe(: there really is nth to do here in batam. but this trip was o.k overall. haha the only thing to do here is to shop, shop and shop but this dosent mean tat the shopping is fantastic first day, had KFC for lunch then checked in at novotel before cabbing to a super huge shopping mall:D dinnered, shop, arcade and movie(: the movie is SUPER cheap here in batam t's just 3 bucks! hahaha. caught the karate kid AWESOME MOVIE((((: second day, had city tour and more shopping had wanted to catch another movie 'the haunting' cz we were seriously sick of shopping malls. hahaha but they didnt have it in the mall we were gg:(( so~! did a hair wash. it's a wash+blow dry+massage at just 2 bucks how cheap is tat~ hahahaha.
how diff is batam from sg? 1. the taxi fares go by hrly. so it's like 10 bucks for 1 hr journey(: 2. no limited capacity(: so 6 of us could occupy just one cab(: 3.they dont have public transport here in batam so we basically travelled here and there by cab(: 4. throughout these two days, i've only seen 3 traffic lights(: 5. the people here are S.U.P.E.R polite. two thumbs up for their service:D 6. the life here is very very simple. so long as they have a shelter over their heads and three meals a day, it's happiness to them.
conclusion: wasnt as bad as i expected(:
